The Contado of UK
Between us there are many years experience with the Cane Corso, we have travelled many miles and seen many dogs in our time. We
have learnt much from the dogs we have owned and still own. We are proud of the litters we have produced, some fine examples
which we also learn from.
Continual research takes us down many roads and the want to learn more has lead us to the Traditional Cane Corso, back into
the countryside where the early rescue dogs were selected. Examples like Picciotto the sire to Tipsi can still be found, unfortunately
the breed standard neglects such a dog. Tradition I have found is something very important to Italians and Tradition is something we
continue to lose here in the UK.
With the help of our friends in the Contado del Molise we discover many examples with typical morphology, function ability and
characteristics of the dog which was bred to work their land. The need for these dogs to work their land is no longer so great but
still they can be found. I'm sure there must be working opportunities for the Traditional Cane Corso here in the UK and many other countries. If you can
offer such an opportunity, please contact us.
