It's Our Thing
We travel and study the Cane Corso for the love of the breed. We are not trying to create our own dog but to play a role
in securing the future of the Traditional Cane corso an ancient dog. To do this we must travel the Italian countryside in
search of rustic examples and hear stories of how they were used and selected.
Some of the show winning Cane corso of today are unrecognizable to the older generation of Italians. Infact just recently I presented
photos of a champion of recent years to my friends Italian parents who came to the UK in the early 1960's with no reaction, when I presented
a photo of a Traditional Cane Corso it was a pleasure to see the look of remembrance on their faces. This was the dog they remember
the local butcher in their region of Umbria owning.
Before the Traditional examples are completely or conveniently forgotten it will be "Our Thing" to research and represent one of
Italy's most ancient breeds here in the UK.
