Breeding a litter of Cane Corso should be a matter of careful consideration. Be prepared to travel any distance for the use of what you consider the right stud dog for your bitch

Things to consider when choosing a stud:
TEMPERAMENT: without good temperament a dog is nothing.
HEALTH: the stud owner should at least have gone to the lengths of having their dog hip scored and be happy to show you the results as opposed to telling you what the results are. They should also be happy to answer any questions you have about the stud and likewise you should about your bitch.
• Last but by no means least TYPE: the above are useless if the stud you choose is not of good type.

Remember the puppies you will raise should go to their new owners as a credit to both you and the Cane Corso as a breed.

Choose a stud dog because you like him and don't be influenced by other breeders as few are forthcoming in their praise for another breeders dogs, although you may be fortunate enough to come across a real enthusiast who is in no way influenced by bloodlines and will tell you a good dog when they see one.

A perfect specimen you may never find as opinions differ so much,so have faith and conviction in your own opinion.Take a look at the dogs from different blood lines and make up in your mind what you think is the correct type to breed for.
